In Eighth Grade, Kayla, an introverted teenage girl tries to survive the last week of her disastrous eighth grade year before leaving to start high school. We also hear from the films writer/director Bo Burnham and star Catherine Oliviere about the making of this modern classic. Hot Summer Nights is set during the summer of 1991, a sheltered teenage boy, Daniel played by Timothée Chalamet, comes of age during a wild summer he spends in Cape Cod getting rich from selling pot to gangsters, falling in love for the first time, partying and eventually realising that he is in over his head. In A24 Hour News, we discuss their success at the Independent Spirit Awards, A24's attempts to buy the TV rights for Under The Skin and we preview next weeks interview with Uncut Gems breakout star, Wayne Diamond.
