Lee and Dallas are joined by Clara Cook, Iana Murray and Natalia to breakdown two of A24’s best films, Lady Bird and The Killing of a Sacred Deer.
The Killing of a Sacred Deer: Dr. Steven Murphy is a renowned cardiovascular surgeon who presides over a spotless household with his wife and two children. Lurking at the margins of his idyllic suburban existence is Martin, a fatherless teen who insinuates himself into the doctor’s life in gradually unsettling ways. Lady Bird: Sacramento, 2002. Christine "Lady Bird" McPherson is in her final year of high school. She longs to leave Sacramento and go to college on the East Coast. However, her protective, obsessive mother, pessimistic at her chances, is determined to keep her in California, and ideally nearby to home. Lady Bird's final year of school will be one of discovery, new experiences and finding herself. In A24 Hour News, we have a red carpet interview from the UK premiere of The Lighthouse with the films co-writer and director, Robert Eggers. We also preview next weeks interview with Catherine Oliviere about her performance as Kennedy in Eighth Grade.
