Minbari society? Pffft. We dig into the half-truth (or the lie?) upon which the society is built. With that, Delenn taps into a new mood, and her past transgressions see new light. Meanwhile, G’Kar gets a new eye, Marcus and Franklin travel to Mars… and Char sings.
Another episode centered around ISN, another journalism lesson from Patrick. First of all: Sheridan needs media training. Second: The audience is too malleable for its own good thanks to a lack of diversity in sources. And third: Propaganda isn’t journalism.
How lighthearted can things be when you’re blowing up a planet? Let’s find out! Bester is back, Lyta and Zack Allan are sparking something between them, someone’s controlling Garibaldi… and our hosts are diving down a rabbit hole of potential Babylon 5 fanfic.
The Shadow War has finally come to an (anticlimactic) end — and we’re thinking about what that means and how the show might change moving forward. Now, the Babylon 5 crew has to build something new. Meanwhile, Londo’s facing smaller consequences than he was just a few days ago, but nonetheless he’s showing his authority.
The first domino has fallen in the war with the Shadows, and it’s also fallen on Centauri Prime. Now the Babylon 5 regulars have to deal with the fallout — particularly Sheridan, Delenn and Vir. Meanwhile, G’Kar is in rebuilding mode. The differences are stark.
Good news-bad news as Sheridan makes the leap to get married to Delenn… and learns that he’s going to die sooner than expected. Garibaldi checks out physically, but mentally? We’re not so sure. Londo’s still scheming to save his world. The Vorlons exit Babylon 5 as they prepare for a war 1,000 years in the making. And one of our hosts has a breakthrough.
Who’s back? Well… Garibaldi is back. So is Sheridan. So are the Vorlons, in attack mode. Meanwhile, Marcus finds time to tell Ivanova his romantic wishes, Zack Allan grows up (finally), and we learn about the role of makeup in the upcoming conflict. Across the galaxy, Londo misreads G’Kar’s protests.
With Sheridan still in Z’Ha’Dum with one of the First Ones, Babylon 5 continues to fall apart. Delenn becomes filled with rage and grief and wants to start bombing planets; G’Kar and Marcus both end up captured; Franklin is unsure of what to do next. The conscience in this episode comes from — LONDO???
With Capt. Sheridan presumed dead on Z’ha’dum, Ivanova and Delenn have found new ways to grieve — Ivanova with alcohol, Delenn with starvation. They’re a microcosm for much bigger problems in and around the galaxy, like Kosh 2.0 being a jerk to Lyta, the Centauri figuring out how to deal with “Emperor Kickstarter,” G’Kar searching for Garibaldi, and the League of Non-Aligned Worlds acting the fool.
