The fall is a time of beginnings, as children are back to school in new classes, loaded down with shiny new binders and pencils, hoping that the new teacher is going to be nice. Fall is also the the time when television networks, movie studios, musical artists and the entertainment community puts it's best foot forward in an effort to win over the public for one more year. In honor of this time of year, the hosts of The Nerd Party begin the following recommendation series, pointing out what we are excited about. This fall The CW Network is going to have an unprecedented line up of DC Comics, superhero shows. It will feature Supergirl on Monday, The Flash on Tuesday, Arrow on Wednesday and Legends of Tomorrow on Thursdays. Over the summer The CW picked up Supergirl from CBS and it looks to join it's fellow Berlanti-verse shows. The show will be in it's sophomore season and will be adding Superman into the mix! How could this line up get better you ask; a 4 part crossover has already been announced this season! So buckle up, it's going to be a wild ride. The Flash premieres October 4th, Arrow October 5th, Supergirl October 10th and Legends of Tomorrow October 13th.
NBC has a brand new show beginning this fall, Timeless. It's creators have worked on Supernatural, The Shield and the producers are responsible for the smash hit, The Blacklist. Timeless follows an unlikely team of a scientist, a soldier and a history professor who are charged with tracking down a rogue criminal that has stolen a secret time machine in an effort to change the past and therefore the future. Staring Abigail Spencer (Mad Men), Goran Visnjic (ER) , Malcolm Barrett (The Hurt Locker) and Matt Lanter (The Clone Wars). Look for it beginning October 3rd.
